Bringing Community And Connection To Effingham Families.

As a mom of four, not raised in the Effingham area, I realized the challenge of meeting new people and finding community as a parent. I wanted a place for children to have the opportunity to play and learn, where families gather, feel welcomed, supported, and able to recharge.

I envisioned more than just a play cafe. I wanted a place that felt inviting for both kids and adults, where kids could thrive through imaginative play, while parents and caregivers enjoyed good coffee and drinks, conversation, and welcomed. I created a space I needed.

From local food vendors, artisan goods, and classes hosted, to our own hand-crafted drinks, The Play Social is here to serve all who enter. The sponsorships from local businesses allowed us to build our imaginary play with our play houses, which allowed me to see Effingham and the surrounding areas’ true community support. I thrive to have our play cafe be not just for the kids to play, but for all to feel the sense of community & connection, because I feel that is something we all need.
